Italian for ‘to see’, ‘view’, or ‘behold’, this project aims to create a maze of light and shadow with viewpoints that change within the house, in response to the client’s brief of wanting dynamic and interesting spaces of various spatial quality throughout the dwelling.

Responding to the bustle and sights around Kampong Glam, the house capitalises on the views of nearby landmarks such as the Sultan Mosque and The Concourse to orientate and guide the user through the spaces. In addition, different spaces in the house have different natural lighting and shadow plays to create a varied dramatic experience.
