An exercise on the materiality of wood, Schale is a graded pavilion that employs the properties of wood to create small differences, which modularises into
various spatial qualities that reflect the journey of self-reflection for an individual. Taking inspiration from the nautilus formally, the organisation of the space changes from a more open, human-interaction-oriented opening, to a semi-open space where one can connect with nature, and lastly an tight and enclosed space where self-reflection occurs.
